Healthy Females Required
CMAX is seeking healthy females for a clinical trial investigating a new treatment for depression and other mood-disorders. However, volunteers are required who do not suffer from depression or other mental health disorders. Positions will be filled on a first come first served basis.
They are calling for volunteers to help us conduct this study who fit the following criteria:

Are generally healthy
Are mentally healthy
Are female aged 18 to 65
Are not using the contraceptive pill
The trial requires volunteers to undertake a screening and follow-up visit, and a 32 day confinement in the CMAX unit. During this time volunteers will have access to recreation facilities, internet, TV’s etc, may receive visitors, and supervised excursions will be conducted. Participants will be remunerated $4,770.00 for lost time and inconvenience. Cab vouchers for transport to and from the CMAX unit will also be provided.

If you fit the above criteria you may be eligible to participate in the clinical trial. The trial is being conducted at the CMAX facilities within the Royal Adelaide Hospital by medically qualified professionals, and has received full ethics committee approval by the Bellberry Human Research Ethics Committee.

  • Can someone please remove this post.
What the hell is this an ad for guinea pigs?! Why do they need perfectly healthy females to give them mind altering drugs? How sick can this society get.

    • Yeah, if you want to call it that, it is an ad for Guinea Pigs..

Dunno where you get the "mind-altering drugs" comment from. Perhaps you need some re-education on mental illness??

CMAX is a highly respected clinical research lab, they perform vital in-vivo clinical trials for pharmaceuticals in their Secondary and Tertiary phases of testing.. All drugs go through this process before they are approved for general use.

It's a valid thing to list in my opinion..

  • So their going to pay me to take mind altering drugs ….. SWEET :)
On a serious note , You would have to mad which sort of negates the whole point of the trial ?

    • i'll have to get my sister to sign up then :-)

  • Hmm..not sure a clinical trial is a bargain or a freebie. More like a job. Surely, you could work at McDonalds and we could call that a bargain albeit probably not a good one.

  • Yeah, this isn't a deal or a freebie, its a job. Plus, who'd want to be confined for 32 days, even if you did get paid for it!!

  • Locked up for 32 days!! lol

    • Most (except the winner)of the Big Brother "contestants" are doing what they're doing for free!

  • Hmmm, $55,000 per year. Free rent. Recreation facilities, internet, TV’s etc, may receive visitors, and supervised excursions will be conducted. Cab vouchers for transport to and from the CMAX unit will also be provided.

This sounds like the perfect job!

    • Do it at your own peril man! You are forgetting to mention numerous waivers you'll be probably forced to sign in case something goes wrong or you end up committing suicide, not uncommon with drugs like Prozac. Plus the thought still baffles me, that they need perfectly healthy people to test drugs for depressed people?!
