Colombo, Sri Lanka to Cairns, Australia from $2,220 in Business/First/Business with Sri Lankan/Qantas/Emirates (Also Works Rt)

190

This flight relies on a mismatch of first/business tickets to get you from Sri Lanka to Cairns, and return if needed.

Handy if returning from the sub continent in style.

To book, you'll likely need to price on matrix.itasoftware.com and use bookwithmatrix.com to book through Priceline. You could call the airline but as this may be an error fare, it's likely better to use the websites.

Colombo is one of the cheap ports to fly back to Australia. There are about 5 in the world that make for affordable business and first class. Cairo, Cape Town, Colombo, Istanbul and I think somewhere in South America also.

    • Do you know why that is?

      • Cause of the currency and affordability of local travellers

  • very good price, thanks

  • Really good price to experience Emirates First class

  • Not a chance.

Not a great time to be a westerner in the east.

    • How do you mean

Come on, I have been travelling to these places for the past 10 years and they are some of the best. If you are scared of going there then don’t, go to Martin place, Melbourne mall or any other place you’d likely get run down or shot. Australia can also be a dangerous place.

I went to Cairo two days after the Alexandria church and Cairo bombing and on Easter Sunday I visited a famous church in the Christian district. Been to Colombo twice, visit Morocco and Middle East quite regularly. The culture is stunning and I show that I’m a nice responsible Australian.

Best put comment here. I'm sick of people saying to me that I'm weird for even wanting to go to similar destinations, or that I'm weird for going to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan last year.

As you said, a terrorist event will happen regardless. Can't account for everything in life. Could get hit by a bus tomorrow
