  • How does the rice cooked in this compare to a rice cooker?

    • This microwave version is would probably produce rice no different to that of an on/off rice cooker, but it would not compare to the rice produced in a rice cooker with fuzzy logic (ie Panasonic or Tiger brands)

        You like fuzzy rice?

    • What are people negging this ? I wasn't aware that it could potentially happen

A lot of people think that if it is BPA Free then it is all good and only crazy people think plastic is bad for you.
Do you own research on bpa, bps (bisphenol-s), bpf (bisphenol-f), phthalates, plastics, estrogen, immune system, hormones, high heat/temperature. Try and find reputable sites that comment directly on peer-reviewed studies, or the studies themselves.
Having BPA Free on a plastic container is not necessarily a good thing and you are just allowing for another chemical to potentially make you sick.

Don't bother trying to provide context. "No BS", sceptical attitudes are very cool at the moment… almost as cool as the all natural/organic guff flying around. You'll just get lumped in with the "tinfoil", chemtrails etc crowd.

I agree with you though. Having looked (admittedly with my non-PHD brain) at some of the research, I am reluctant to use products like these. Worst case scenario is I miss out on some of the conveniences that they would provide… Which is better than learning about all the horrors later on down the road, as every previous generation before has at some point.

Disclaimer: not saying I'm completely insulated from disease, or exposure to unknown harms… Like most health/diet related issues, without indisputable, correlative, and longitudinal data you need to do your own research, and make a leap of faith as there is so much white noise around.
