    • Free postage with Newegg though makes this cheaper

      • I think it might be free with Prime?

      • It's coming up as $64.80 shipping for me

Where do you live? Maybe metro locations only was free for Melbourne 3000

          • @4foxache: Yeah i checked a couple Brisbane postcodes and it was free.

You will need Prime membership otherwise there's a gigantic shipping cost

Membership costs $7.99 a month, so instead of paying for the shipping you should activate Prime and buy the RAM if you haven't already used up your 30 day free trial.

    • If you select the option '16 Gb', you can get 3733MHz for $148 (model number confirmed in description as PV416G373C7K) - however the timings are a tad high, but can just downclock and tighten ;)

I emailed Amazon to check if it was legit, here's their reply

I have collected the product information for you, and here are the details:

*288-Pin Buffered Dual In-Line Memory Module (UDIMM)
      *Frequency: 3733MHz (PC4-29800), Timings: 17.21.21.41
      *Capacity: 16GB (2x8GB)
      *Voltage 1.35V
*100% Tested, RoHS Compliant, Limited lifetime warranty

These are the specification as mentioned by the manufacturer.

I am not sure about the technicality of this item, as we are not trained in it.

However I have arranged the contact details of the manufacturer , they have their technical specialist team which would be the best to assist you here.

      You can contact them here:

      I hope this helps.

      • If you remove the .au from the url with that selected, it shows the 3200mhz model which matches the part number in the title. If you want Amazon credit, go for it :)

        • Heh perhaps, though it is odd they already have the 3200 listed for a lower price.

      • 3733 17-21-21-41 is probably Hynix CJR.

        I have CJR on my 3600 19-20-20-40 sticks, which did 3466 14-17-19 1.45v on my 2600 and 2700X.
I switched over to Intel and am currently running 3733 15-21-21-34 1.48v without any issues. One of my sticks is definitely holding me back though. The good one can do 4000 CL16 at 1.45v, while the bad one is stuck at my current settings.

Is it worth cancelling the "Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2X8GB) DDR4 3000MHz C16" (from this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/451948) in favor of this one?

Will be getting either a Ryzen 2700x or something from the new Zen 2's.

    • Keen to also know how this stacks up for a 2700x or possibly 3000 series zen 2…

Stick with the Corsair, I have that model rated 3000 but it does 3200 stable. There's no performance difference really beyond 3200, maybe a few percent at most.

      • Nice that's good to hear.

  • Any Ryzen pros comment how this ram compares to G.Skill sniper X 2x8gb 3400 (F4-3400C16D-16GSXW) for Ryzen 2700X? Obviously this wins on price…

  • I have the 3733mhz variant and can't get it to post on my Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.85ghz with an Asus b350 gaming motherboard at that rated speed. I can get it to boot at 3333mhz with very high timings but not stable. After a month of tinkering I settle at 3133mhz speed 14 17 18 28 timings.

    • Only reason I can see for b-die is up to 4000mhz speeds. If this is already rated at 3400 then either b-die or e-die it'll perform the same at the same speed. You'll be paying a lot more for little to no performance gain after 3200 speeds really.

  • These dodgy bastards sold me a FAKE 128gb microsd (was only 32gb) and refuse to replace it under warranty. Did anyone else get scammed on this? I know of at least one other person but there must be more.
