Come on no Naan bread? Indian buffet?

      • Freshly baked Plain and Butter Naan Breads

Unless it was edited in after your comment I see Naan on the all you can eat lunch buffet menu.

My bad I would say cheese and Garlic naan

          • @SnoozeAndLose: No not your bad it happens but yeah your statement still stands true it is just very plain generic naan no special yummy extras like cheese or garlic naan varieties :(

    • Vegetable Biryani

Yum! Although I do prefer lamb or chicken better ones better.

I’d go just for the Roti & Naan. Oh how I miss carbs :-(

    • Why can't you eat carbs?

      • Coz carbs are my nemesis. Love pasta, love bread, love rice. Unfortunately, that love of carbs translates into weight gain for me. I mean who can have just one serve of pasta 🤷‍♂️

I mean who can have just one serve of pasta 🤷‍♂️

How is none better than just 1?

p.s: Start with the salad first. Then the pasta.

        • A +1 for me too.

Sometimes I crave pasta so much i grab those Latina pastas for 4
          Grab a sauce on special

          And the rest is history

          I go from
Craving to satisfied to guilty to forgotten

Edit: agree no pasta is better than a half portion

@Samsungnote10: Sounds like there might be other things at play here. We usually start craving carbs when we’re feeling down :either depressed or low energy. When you eat carbs, your body makes more serotonin and your blood sugar spikes. So, cravings are your body’s way of asking for more of those good feels.

            • @[Deactivated]: According to my reading, processed carbs like your white breads and pasta etc give you that short insulin spike but leaves you feeling hungry quicker.
              And vice versa

However for me, i can feel fuller for less eating wholemeal breads and pasta while fuller for longer with the bad stuff

Edit: I'm a pretty happy person, so I'm never down but I get my cravings on my days off gym or after a few drinks!

It's kind of the opposite to most

    • I would go for the tandoori chicken tikka and butter chicken indian curry dishes, the vegetable indian biryani rice, the freshly baked roti and the freshly baked butter naan.

Was hoping for a chicken tikka masala unless that is the same thing or a devil chicken masala (i think it just means spicier or more onions but don't quote me on that I am pretty sure I am wrong).

Wish it was $15 as that is my ideal price point for one sitting of a meal but I guess I could swing it some time when I am super hungry and in the city with limited options.

  • I could only eat about $20 of that stuff anyway…

Also, 15 August 1947 means nothing to you?

  • That restaurant has some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Beware and read reviews before you go here.

    • I disagree. Went to the neutral bay one last year and it was amazing.

      • Never been to the Neutral Bay one. This is about the one the Darlinghurst one.
If anything they should be done for false advertising. There is nothing British about their curry.

    • All the reviews are pretty good from the google search I did.
Plus seriously… you don't go cheap to get customer service?

      • There’s plenty of reviews about how bad the service is. Customers left for hours without being given food or drinks. Rude staff.
        Avoid like the plague.

    Not great but not bad.

If it was $15 it would be the best deal on here in terms of everyday or ongoing buffet I have seen besides the free charity ones in the park in the city and the Groupon Gumtree 6am to 9am breakfast one that goes for $12.50 in the city.

$20 is pretty steep for one person in one sitting.

But this is perfect for parties besides the 90 minutes sitting limit rule.

For those wondering the lowest price that have advertised here on ozbargain it is $18 for adults.
