I have the bullet carbon 10.4ah electric scooter that died on me recently as the battery goes completely flat after a few mins of driving, does anyone know how much it would costs to replace the LG batteries and where in Sydney I could get it repaired? I found parts similar in China for $50 USD but not certain how much repair costs would add up?

No these are commuter electric scooters that travel up to 30km per/h, these are not for children. the distance it use to last 30-40mins lets say you where traveling 20km/h with minor stops.
the units battery just shuts down after a min of usuage, usually it only does this when the bar is depleted, in fact it shouldn’t happen after a full charge. obviously the batteries has become faulty, lets say 500 charges/discharging the cells would diminish dropping 70%it shouldn’t go a single minute then shutting off, the only other reason is the motherboard is damaged from degrading from the heat it inducts for the usuage as some scooters are cheaply made, I don’t know as I’m not a technician.
Looking at parts online it seems if to purchase the parts to replace the labor seems to much almost 60-70% of what you purchased, better off buying a newer one, I just wanted some general thought if any of you have any type of scooter, this also involves mobility scooters, how did you go upon a faulty battery?
My guess is: If you're buying
an exact replacement, the Q
becomes: How to get it open
to make the swap?
Maybe a first Q to ask is:
I guess it's not in warranty…?
I'd be asking: Is it realistic to
Expect such a small battery
to move a human very far?
(Eg, is this scooter made for
Kids, who may tire of riding
after a short spin around the
back yard…?)
Is there a Physicist in the
audience…? ;~)
