    There isn't a (Gen 2) It's a gimmick. There is one which is with Wireless Charging which is Gen 2, the normal one without Wireless Charging is Gen 1 and there's isn't a Gen 2 for that. Just a change in the chip.

      Lol it isn’t a gimmick, there is a definite Gen 2.

      Gen 1 (2016): W1 chip, BT 4.2, no ‘Hey Siri’, no Wireless charging
      Gen 2 (2019): H1 chip, BT 5.0, ‘Hey Siri’ support, option of wireless charging case or not

      You can get the wireless charging case by itself if you want (eg. for those people who have Gen 1 AirPods but want wireless charging)

  No deal, hope not too many people bought this when it was listed as Gen 2 originally.

  Neg voting to raise awareness because it still says Gen 2 in the post.
  Gen 1 have been cheaper in the past and plus you can get the Gen 2 for $216 which is a much better option.
