As an Aussie we get all the goodies quite late compared to the rest of the world

When do we get the smart plugs and smart bulbs/hub? Bulbs with bayonet connector instead of Edison screw. I know you can get adaptors but all my bulb holes look silly even if you add half an inch of length to them with the adapter.
Bayonet won’t be done, I reckon. Market is too small for the products to be viable.

@AustriaBargain: If you don't plan to do renovations or tear the place down in the next 10 years, I'd change them.
You could replace your bayonet cap connector / batten holder to an edison screw. Something similar to this: https://www.bunnings.com.au/deta-e27-edison-batten-holder_p4…
You would need your electrician to turn off the power at the fuse box, access the old BC batten, unscrew the two wires at the base of the old BC batten, screw the two wires into the new ES batten, and then turn on the power at the fuse box.
It shouldn't cost too much for a sparky to do this, i imagine the callout fee would cost more than the actual job (depending on how many light fittings need to be changed).
Make sure you wear a hardhat while doing this. And that needs to be on top of your bee keeping uniform. Who knows what may happen…
