Recommendations for a Pet Door for Rental Property

Can anyone recommend a pet door that is relatively easy to install and can be taken with us when we move? We have a sliding door (glass door and screen door). Our dog is fairly small (Pom X).

I see Bunnings sell one and have had a look at a few others online (Patio Link and Animalistic). Would like to hear from anyone who has used one personally.

    Got the Bunnings one and gave it back the next day, build quality was crap.
    Ended up paying more for patiolink, way better

    Are you going to repair the hole left in the door when you take the pet door with you.

    EDIT: Nope scrap that, just saw what the patiolink is….what a fancy little invention that is.

    We have had a Patiolink for about 10 years, have been very happy with it. Little plastic piece that latches the dog door down broke about 5 years ago, but works fine without it.

    Since it is a rental you may need to think about how you are going to lock the sliding door - we installed a patio bolt, but probably won't be able to do that in a rental. The locking bracket from Patiolink seems like it would do the job fine if you are happy with just a latch (and maybe the traditional piece of timber in the door frame).

      Got to love the traditional piece of wood that stops the door sliding open. You do have to watch the older style sliding doors where you can just lift them out though.

    We had this https://www.modernpetdoors.com.au/patiolock-model-ultimate-i… for our little fella. Loved that there was no drilling or cutting involved and adjustable to various sliding doors. We no longer need it so feel free to PM with an offer if interested :D

    We got this one - https://www.bunnings.com.au/hartman-pacific-385-x-270mm-larg…, installed at our place. The only issue was to adjust/align the Sliding door lock back on the pet door. It's not so sturdy, but an ease for us and pet :).

    If you need then I can provide the details of the person who installed for us.

      Thanks. We were hoping for one we could install ourselves though to try to keep the cost down.
