Didn't Receive SIM or Voucher from Groupon or amaysim

On the 7th April I purchased from Groupon, the Amaysim — Six 28-day renewals of Amaysim Unlimited 1GB mobile plan and payed $4.97 by MC.

I received a confirmation email. But no voucher number was included. I searched and search My Groupons but nothing. So I assumed the voucher code would arrive with the SIM.

Nothing has arrived. The deal needed to be redeemed by the 14th April.

I chatted with Groupon but they advised I contact Amaysim. After a long chat with Amaysim they advised I contact Groupon. After another chat with Groupon again, they said they'd get back to me.

I've purchased from Groupon before, including wine, hotel stay and a mobile deal. So I understand their voucher system.

TIA if anyone has any ideas on what is going on here.

    i thought you have to sign up amaysim using the groupon voucher.

  • You can always access your Groupon vouchers by simply logging into your Groupon account and going to My Groupons.

    Amaysim don't send the SIM till you sign up with the voucher. You don't need to transfer your number; but you do need to signup with Amaysim. Once the SIM arrives, then you activate it at which time the number is transferred.

    Yeah you're supposed to look on Groupon - but it doesn't appear immediately after purchase. When it does turn up, click on it and it contains a voucher code you copy then paste when signing up on the Amaysim site.

    • Ah, now I'm getting the picture - it doesn't arrive immediately, you say. I searched around for like 20 minutes, clicking on everything, even downloading and installing the Groupon Mobile app, but no voucher code

      In previous Groupon deals after I'd purchased the voucher the code was in My Groupon as soon as I received the email receipt.

      How long have you waited for the voucher code to appear?

      I have sent an email to Groupon suggesting that there may have been a problem with their system not spitting out the voucher code.

      OK, it's only $4.97 but I'd like to know where the problem was (me or Groupon) if I intend use Groupon in the future.

      • Sorry, I didn't see how long it took to arrive because I didn't know how it all worked - so I ordered, then waited for an email to arrive (like Kogan does). But of course it never came. So on the last evening I logged into Groupon to try and find what 'went wrong', found it, and went from there. It's supposed to show up in 'My Groupons'.

  • Log into your groupons, includes a code to use when signing up. After this step you get your sim in the mail.

    Guessing you have missed the boat tho.

  • Oh poop…. This is very embarrassing, I've never let a voucher slip until now 😳…

  • Look at your purchase history. Click on the SIM. You will see the button View voucher just under the screen. There is the number you need to enter I'm amaysim website. The order is $10, but enter the code, it's $0
