Hey guys,
Just wanted to get some ideas on what I can do. We have a granny flat at the back of our house which we are renting out, but occasionally they'll get visitors or deliveries that come through to our carport because it's not clear how to get to the back (there's a side gate on the other side which leads to the granny flat).
Currently, there's no clear path to the entrance from the street, so long term this is something we'd like to do, but we don't have the funds to do a proper footpath just yet. So we thought maybe we can get some signs created.
After getting a quote signage companies would be charging about $250-300 to create an aluminium composite sign (with reflective vinyl graphics).
Now I'm wondering if we could get away with using some thick laminated paper and save a few hundred bucks. I guess it would need to be able to withstand the elements, so I'm not sure if it would last.
If you have any other ideas, I'd appreciate it.
You could have a laminate paper and replace periodically.
Also consider using pavers to create a stepping stone like path to the desired side of the house.
