I'm currently in the market for a smartwatch/fitness tracker so I have been keeping an eye out. This one is a little above my needs but may suit someone right into fitness tracking.

I'm confused by all of the Garmin models. Is this the sapphire edition? The notes on the Rebel page mention sapphire but the RRP doesn't match what the sapphire edition usually is: https://buy.garmin.com/en-AU/AU/p/603201/pn/010-01987-09#
Can't say for sure but would say this isn't the sapphire purely on RRP.
I might go into the local and have a look. I'll tell them that the product description says sapphire so that's what I'm after. See what they come up with
Let us know how you go mate.
@iamblaq: I went in store. I didn't have much time (should have been at work), the staff were pretty vague when I queried the sapphire description on the rebel website. Said they would look up the garmin website to check. It looked to me like the non-sapphire version, despite the rebel website contradicting that. I couldn't find anything on the packaging that stated sapphire.

Base black model with silver bezel is regular glass. Mid black model with black bezel is sapphire glass.
sapphire costs more
but it says "Chemically strengthened sapphire crystal lens" in the description?
Maybe go into store if you can for confirmation because the description seems like it's about the more expensive model they sell.
Wish it was the black on black colour, not a fan of silver.
I'm in the market for a fitness tracker and smart watch. For those who has this watch, is there gmail and whatsapp compatibility?
FYI if you have smaller wrists, this is the watch to buy. The 5 and 5x are on the larger side.
