Hello Ozbargain,
I am going RTW next june and July. https://www.pointhacks.com.au/qantas-round-the-world-classic…
I have a surface sector (and 11 nights) between Stockholm and Prague. Originally planning to rent a car but I have not found a company that rents for this one way.
Has anyone in here done something similar? any recommendations? places to go? foods to try? hikes?
thanks a lot..
Road trip from Stockholm to Prague

Defs not flying… A lot of time wasted in airports. I am going the opposite way. Can you recommend any activities o places to go? Thanks.
Jealous
could maybe split into multiple rentals
or get one for germany only and use train for the restThanks for the advice. Seems like train is more viable at least for the first part.
Train it down to Berlin and then drive across Germany (Autobahn!) Get a nice V8 Benz!
Then train the rest into Prague, pretty easy.
Sounds pretty good! Have you done it before? Do you have a suggestion of which car rental company to use? I’d really want to see if I can get a nice car at a reasonable price.
chek our vroom vroom web site
Thank you.
I've recently booked a car rental from Germany to Austria one-way, and I ended up choosing an Audi A3 convertible from Sixt. Because I'm under 25 I couldn't rent anything meatier, but they do have a decent selection at decent prices. As there's a young driver surcharge with almost every rental company I found Sixt to be the cheapest for me, but if you're over 25 you may have more options.
Benz SLC $154 aud per day. Very tempting.. thanks.
I was told Frankfurt was place to hire camper vans from in Europe and when I looked into it it was 20% cheaper than anywhere else. Not sure about cars though
Take the train. Depends on your routing. Most direct is Germany, West Germany like Nuremberg, Munich, Stuttgart then up to Hamburg and through Denmark (Copenhagen) for Sweden to Stockholm. You can definitely blow a few nights in the first 3 cities which would be 6 - 7 nights of your 11 already.
Wouldn't suggest flying budget airline as you'll be wacked with luggage fees until travelling with carry on only.
