[Switch] Nintendo eStore Sale - Zelda BOTW $62.95 (Was $89.95), Mario $53.30 (Was $79.95), Skyrim $39.95 (Was $79.95) & More

1760

As expected, the Nintendo eStore has just gone live with a bunch of deals. I'll update the full list shortly but for now:

I think I've captured all the 'big deals' for now (it's time for bed, after all) but there are many more now available on the estore. Some of these games are now cheaper than physical, and others are just equal to the equivalent best price for physical.

      • It's made for families not dark souls professionals! Great game though, the hat mechanic was more fun than I thought. Taking over the Cheep Cheep fishy was amazing

      • You got all 999 moon's and found it easy? Sure the game to finish is an average difficultly to appeal to everyone.

        • The only challenging part was darker side of the moon, all the moon challenges were incredibly straightforward.

Xenoblade Chronicles is fantastic, I’ve just nudged over the 200 hour mark.

    • I was interested but after looking at reviews, all the battle mechanics, the menus etc made me really dizzy which turned me off.

I love a good story and a nice open world, which I've heard XC2 has. But I don't think I'd have the patience and time to learn all the mechanics to it.

      • I jumped on last time when it was on sale, the game mechanics gel really well and the story is phenomenal. I would rate this second to FFVII in terms of my love of RPGs.

  • No way would i ever pay even a fraction of a physical release price for a digital release. All of the big game companies are known for pulling the rug out from people who make purchases on digital platforms. Nintendo can't pry the physical release out of my hands/off my shelf.

      What?

I believe he said that we are run by reptilians and 9/11 was an inside job.

        • Well for example Nintendo like to make you rebuy digital purchases when released on a new platform .. ie Wii -> WiiU and do you think that if say you bought Mario Kart 8 on WiiU they would throw you a bone if you had bought a switch - nope. They show no loyalty to digital purchases.

          • @Elijha: I've not heard of any developers offering a free upgrade to a game across platforms? I wouldn't expect my PS3 games to work on my PS4?

  • Also wondering about 3DS, I'm at work so can't check myself

    • Well there you go, people still pay for 3ds games 🤷‍♂️

      • You don't?

I’ve been lusting over Skyrim on the Switch, played it many times but want to play on the train while I’m in japan (and the plane home).

Decided to give ozbargain a search and the timing of this post couldn’t be more perfect! Downloading now on the hotel wifi :)

    • On the flip side, I search around a few days ago and ended up paying full price for it 😕 Oh well, still a great game

Mario & Rabbids is surprisingly fun. Starts out like a dummy's version of X-Com but gets quite challenging.

    • What's the difference between gold and regular?

      • Gold includes the Donkey Kong DLC I believe

        • Yes, and additional weapons (only a few).

  • anyonr know when sale ends?

I have spent wayyyy to much on games past few days :(

You and me both. Got a Switch earlier this week, then saw this today. Too good not to stock up. $400 later… I think I'm set for a while!

Everything that is on sale can be found on Vooks.

Lol, good old Nintendo. Where sales mean an old game only costs three or four times as much as it does on every other system instead of five times as much.

  • No Golf Story and Hollow Knight….. sigh

    • +4

Lol just buy hk. Team cherry is already selling it for a ridiculously low price, and have released 3 free dlc for it. You're getting 60 hours+ of great gameplay for 15 bucks.

      • +3

and they're Australian :D support the devs!

You hear that? Don't lament the lack of a discount on a bargain hunting website, just blindly buy it at full price. Know your place!

      • +2

The game is a bargain mate.

I won't tell you to learn your place, but learning the value of things will be nice.

I know there's another deal listed for it, but worth mentioning that Enter the Gungeon is also on sale atm; 50% off making it $8.75. This offer expires tonight/tomorrow.

If they give me a full on Breath of the Wild sequal or prequal or whatever, I will pay $300 for it, I don't care

  • Paying over 60 bucks for a 2 year old game is NOT a deal

  • Still waiting for price match on Amazon for Zelda 🙄

  • Child of light is also on sale. Bought it and it looks great so far. Turns out they are making it into a tv show

  • BOTW needs to be $50 at the maximum when on a digital sale, for $10 more you can get the physical and that's not even on sale! Also annoyed that there's no DLC special bundle either

    • +1

where can you get BOTW physical for $60?

      • facebook or gumtree mate pre owned.. $50 cheaper as nuts

      • I meant for $10 more than the current sale ($63). Its $73 on Amazon

  • Why has no-one mentioned Moonlighter? I've been waiting months for this to be on sale and finally picked it up at 33% off - $25-ish compared to $59 for a physical.
