    I personally use Cygnett 27k.

For Carry-on Luggage, Power Bank shouldn't exceed 100Wh

    To Calculate Wh:

    (mAh)/1000 x (V) = (Wh)

Options available for USB-C Power Delivery Powerbank that would charge both the Nintendo Switch and Samsung S10 would be:

Note: not listed in any particular order

Also note that the reported mAh capacities are in terms of the cell voltage, which is distinct from the input or output voltages of the power bank. Usually you'll want to use 3.3V to calculate the Watt-hour capacity.

  • Thanks for the info - is there anything I should watch out for when using the Switch? I have read not to use it while docked etc

Unless you're planning to hook it up to a TV whilst travelling, the dock stays at home.

Most planes have USB charging ports in each seat too. I've never needed to use my powerbank on flights.

That Is Safe to Take as Carry-on

Passengers may safely and legally carry-on 160Wh power banks. Anything over 160Wh may be unlawful, but still safe.

Just a note that the only way to bring a powerbank with you is to carry with you as part of your carry-on luggage. It cannot be put into your check-in luggage as far as I know

  • Are power banks such as the cygnett 20k only meant to charge 1 device at a time? Can't seem to get a straight answer on Google
