Considering the amount of things removed from the Pro version, I feel like the S10E is by far the better deal right?

    • What had been removed?

      • optical zoom i think?

why apple cant sell a phone with similar spec at this price? why need to be $1500+ ??? hello steve jobs are you listening?

        • +1

Because Apple can sell phones for $1500…why sell it for less? Apple has never been about value, always has been about profit margins

          • @krisspy: it's all about user experiences, when you happy or lazy or both, you'd pay for it, they have better profits

Steve jobs passed away in 2011, I think you mean Tim Cook?

        • -1

if Steve is listening, he'd done better jobs

    • This possibly has the second best camera on a smartphone currently

      • It's really not clear cut like that, one of the major draw cards for the P30 PRO was the huge optical zoom which is incredible. You have to put up with so much trash in the EMUI that really, without that and reverse wireless charging features, reduced waterproof rating, reduced battery etc.

        • I thought the P30 pro is capable of up to 5x optical zoom, and the regular P30 is capable to do 3x optical zoom

        • I don't get what trash we're talking about? Emui is fairly plain, like less obtrusive than Samsung ui.

If anything their ui is better. No bs double swipe down for brightness slider. Plus the multiple user accounts that Huawei does. 2 different fingerprints for 2 different accounts. You can basically share this phone if you're that cheap.

          • @krisspy: Yea if you want to talk random software features that a phone has, samsung wins this everytime. That doesn't matter though, as not everyone will use them right? Given that EMUI is fairly plain, and they haven't put thought into the UI like Samsung has, and everything goes through Chinese servers, I really don't see the benefit at all. So many better phones out there for the same or less. The PRO on the other hand offers really great set of hardware features.

      • P30 at $980 makes P20 Pro ($750) looks much better value apart from the 16 MP, f/2.2, 17mm (ultrawide) lens.
        IP53 (IP67 P20 Pro) and smaller battery ( 3650 mAh vs 4000) negates HiSilicon Kirin 980 (7 nm) & GPU to me.

  • Any deals on a P30 Pro??

  • Does anyone know if the price is GST inclusive? Is this eligible for TRS refund?

P30 is interesting, no curved OLED, headphone jack, stereo speaker, 3 camera's are from P30pro, Mate 20pro and P20.

From memory it misses wireless charging compared to the Pro as well.
