    It's $160 for those wondering. Saved y'all a click.

Your 2 shelves are $160 delivered yet if you live in Qld you can pay just $72.72 each with "Free delivery to Brisbane, gold coast, ipswich and sunshine coast"

    https://theshelfshop.com.au/collections/heavy-duty-collectio…

So not a bargain for the Qld ozbargainers.

Yes $72.72 is excluding GST so it's still $80 each with GST

      • +9

I thought legally you aren’t allowed to advertise excluding gst?

        • +1

Yep, 100% correct, completely against Australian Consumer Law. It's a practice that so many trades are still following cos "that's the way it's always been done".

          Component pricing
When you present prices to your customers, you must state the total price of the good or service as a single figure, which is the minimum total cost that is able to be calculated. This should include any tax, duty, fee, levy or other additional charges (e.g. GST or airport tax). This rule generally does not apply in business-to-business transactions. This means you do not need to include GST if a price statement is made exclusively to businesses.

The offer here is a business-to-consumer, not business-to-business so you can't claim a price is ex-GST. At checkout you can show the GST component, but you can't suddenly add it when the consumer is expecting to pay the displayed price.

          • @bUrd: Can’t be “the way we’ve always done” because that would imply they have been trading for a while. Their abn was only registered in August 2018!

      • So working on that premise your $160 shelves do not have GST added on them either.

      • Also 72.27 plus 10% is $79.99 and not $80
Just my two cents worth if you buy 2

Similar shelving (smaller) has been at bunnings for $40. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/302639
This would be better if it were closer to 2 for $100

    • -7

those are rated at 120kg per shelf so no there not similar
and obviously 2 for $100 would be better
It's a full time job correcting you guys

Not very good customer service with those comments?

    • +4

Not really - they're not only smaller (90 vs 120 cm wide) but half the capacity.

These are closer and $109 each
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/pinnacle-1830-x-1200-x-410mm-5-t…

almost 40% more expensive and not delivered so this price seems pretty good for the specs.

Is there product with 460cm or 540cm deep? The concern is the stability. Thanks
