Price Matching? David Jones

Hi all,

I want to buy a New coffee machine and is looking for a deal on Breville Oracle touch and found this one on EBay!

I emailed DJs to see if they would price match but obviously their price match policy doesn’t include EBay stores.

The reason I want to buy it from DJs is that I can make use of 6% gift cards and claim the tax as I’m travelling overseas soon!

Any suggestions of other retailers who would be soft on price match policy?

    Solid Ozbargainer here. Will drag a 17kg coffee maker around overseas to save $250 (unless there are extra luggage fees).

      I’ll permanently reside overseas and if it works the saving will be more than that :-)

    The ebay one linked to is "Manufacturer refurbished" No retail store is going to price match that.

    Not sure about Dj, but I have priced matched at myer before and I'll assume that they have similar price match policies. Their only requirement was that there was a physical store that you wanted to price match with, so in this case, I doubt they'll price match you.
    Also, regarding the TRS scheme, are you planning on bringing the coffee maker back? If so, you might want to check this out: https://www.ato.gov.au/business/gst/in-detail/your-industry/…. Im not too sure what they mean by 'penalties', but is it worth the potential problems?

    It ddoes say the conditionn is "maunfacturer refurbished/ex demonstration" so I think the only chance you have is if the store doesn't check the listing properly. I can't imagine any store will match it.
