Amazon Global Store (Australia) Are Prices in AUD/USD?

I can't for the love of god figure out if the prices on international products within amazon.au are in USD/AUD.

Also says spend over $49 also to get free shipping is this AUD or USD also? Does this mean my Australian Prime is useless to get free delivery from global/international items?

I might as well purchase stuff on American Amazon then? Or can you not do that?

Thanks

From my understanding, even with Prime, your order needs to be at least $49 for free delivery. And their prices are in AUD.

Nope, AU local stock does not have $49 minimum spend, only the international stores does.

Correct, all Amazon.com.au prices are in AUD.

Of course, prime will offer free shipping for local stocks. He was asking about global store mate.

  • I didn't think you could buy off Amazon USA anymore since Amazon AU was launched? Happy to be corrected

    • Also unsure, but think they changed it recently (22 nov 18) coincidentally just before the sales (black friday cyber monday) https://www.businessinsider.com.au/amazon-us-store-shipping-…

Amazon blocked AU buyers for a short time because of the requirement they collect Gerry Harvey's GST but after an uproar they quickly changed their minds.

I buy some things from their US site as it has a more varied range of products and sometimes it's cheaper buying the identical product from their US site.

      • US Amazon is in USD dollars correct?

        • Yes.

          Amazon US is in USD.

          Amazon AU is in AUD.

      • amazon us ships very little direct to au now. all thir party excluded and many other lines - mostly specials.

    • Yes apparently you can buy from US since November 2018 https://www.afr.com/companies/retail/amazon-australia-backfl…

  • US Amazon is in USD dollars correct?

    Correct.

You can change it to AU$, and change the default language, by clicking on "EN" at the top of the page (RHS)
