OzBargain deals on iOS - Free BargainDesk app

Hi, apologies for the late announcement.
I just saw someone mentioned the BargainDesk App on the "OzBargain Android App" deal. Thanks to iish and asa79.

I'm still in the process of improving the app and gathering feedbacks in the forum

But feel free to download it and post your feedbacks in the forum.

You can also go to the settings view to toggle off the feeds you do not want to retrieve.
Also, don't forget to change your default city in the Settings view (Current default is Sydney).

    Like the android app this probably belongs in the forums, mods will discuss this as well and maybe move BOTH

          Wow, so many negs on jv's comment even though he is right.

          If anyone posts a deal on a freebie that has always been free, everyone negs the deal, btu because this is a Ozbargain app, no one negs it.

    if you want more people to use your apps why not get Scotty to stick a banner ad or a permalink on ozbargain. I'm sure he won't mind since it will attract more visitors to the site.

    Or at least we can put it into the wiki but nobody reads it…

      If I understand correctly, this is not an official OzBargain app (and I believe it's one thing the developers need to mention in the app description).

      If OzB starts to endorse this app and later it's found to contain malware, whether intentionally or not, that won't be pretty.

    i get that the apps aren't strictly a "bargain", but i do prefer major ozbargain-related posts like this get posted on the main page as i don't have the time to keep completely up to date with the forum posts (that is to say, i seldom go there)

    in any case, they could be argued to be a bargain in the indirect sense - they allow you to attain bargains and in that sense are bargains and of themselves, just sayin

      they are when you normally pay for them and then they are free or reduced in price for a short period of time…

      if they are always free, they are not supposed to be posted here according to the rules… in the past, all these posts have been moved to the forums… i don't understand why these ones are not being moved… probably because it is about Ozbargain and creating some free advertising ????

    This actually looks really great, and actually useful.
    Seems a bit biased towards android that the other app got so many positives, whereas this app which is arguably better hasn't gotten nearly as many.

    I'm with cheapo.one, anything that is directly OzBargain related should be allowed to be posted on the main page for the benefit of those that don't view the forums.

    It's not like stuff like this appears every day, or even every week for that matter.

          i reported that thread be moved… there's not point in posting a comment after there were already so many votes… if i got in early enough, i would have negged that one too…

          you'll see on the first post in this one that some mods also think this does not belong here…

        H & J Reports noted and now acted upon but look at the consistency - your comments in both posts (IOS and Android) are consistent but voting was slighly different.

      Yes and no - I made the comment in the FIRST post here that we were looking into this.

      You know Mods do have other lives, and it looks like many of us where having Sunday evening off at the same time hence the Droid app got away - interestingly the excitement of getting any App on the Android was so overwhelming that even though it's probably a pre beta, they couldnt contain that excitement.

    Hi, just a quick update. V1.0.3 is now available for download.

    This includes a refresh button for some views. Thanks to all who pointed that out to me.
