This is running Snapdragon 845, which is really solid at this price !

and rare AU stock with Dual SIM which is more useful than the useless eSIM on recent iPhones, would rather carry one phone for both business and personal contacts :)

    • non exists update and poor battery is the killer, even at lower price.

  • I have been waiting for this to get another ebay deal since i missed grabbing it earlier this week when mobileciti had the 10% deal, this price is getting close but there is no pickup stock so ad $14.95 for delivery it's close/same as mobileciti on ebay (maybe they are still less with the 3%).

The MobileCiti eBay deal is effectively back with the new 10% code, comes down to $541.62

      • current price is $701 + 10% = ~$630

        • $601.80 - 10 %

not sure where you are seeing $701

Ah, its the grey colour only that's $601

Works out even cheaper (~$460) if you have some of those 15% off eBay gift cards from a while back :)

  • Office works price beat comes down to $550. I would get in there first thing.
Also does anyone know if this will do VoWifi (wifi calling) with optus?

  • Anyone know that this bootloader can be unlocked or not?

No point for that. If you see the XDA, you would see there are almost no other roms.

This or LG V30 Plus for about $100 less ? Hmmm…..

    • +1

I went with the V30 as I preferred the OLED screen and the bigger battery and the change in my pocket. Coming from a Pixel 2XL I was over the lack of 3.5mm jack - having to use a dongle blows. The sound quality is much improved over BT and via earphones esp with the DAC.

  • spec wise is this a bit better than note 8 as this is a later release?

    • Yes and no. It's processor and GPU are noticeably ahead of the Note, however the Note having 2GB more ram would be an asset in some situations. Samsung far as I understand has a better quality control record (yes even factoring in the Note 7 debacle.) the Exynos on the Samsung models we get are inferior I believe to it's Snapdragon 835 counterpart. Then you have to factor in who has the better optimised software. I know I'd lean towards Samsung for this, haven't heard many positive thing's about LG in that regard at all. Everything considered, for raw performance, the LG should be the go to though.
