25% off French Linen Bedding @ I Love Linen

VOSN2019

Ilovelinen.com.au is having a Vogue online shopping night, today.

What ever else that means * shrugs *, it also means 25% off their French linen bedding.

For those who haven't experienced it, pure linen is some of the softest and most breathable bedding available. For that, it generally comes at a steep price.

Bonus pillow cases are up for grabs, too, subject to T's & C's listed on their website.

Hi OP, I love linen too!
Could you please confirm where the linen sheets are actually made? I understand that they are made from French grown flax, but where are they woven?

    Hi BOGOF

Good question! I asked via their online chat, which led me to this product care link.

"Pure linen bedding. 100% genuine French flax woven under specific instruction in China."

    Product care

It's a shame not to be produced locally but not surprising, these days. Linen looks very difficult to work with, so Aussie (or French lol) labour costs would be enormous.

interesting that they specifically state in their care instructions these don't last longer than cotton sheets due to their stonewashing technique.
I was led to believe linen sheets were almost a permanent thing, and you could buy them and eventually (in your own time) die in them. Obviously that was hyperbole, but to pay in the range of triple the amount for something that lasts the same as cotton sheets seems.. illogical.

I've researched linen sheets in the past. Seem to recall that a linen/cotton blend was better for durability in conditions where they will be stretched (e.g the sheet you sleep on) but 100% linen is really awesome for doona covers, pillow cases etc.
    Anyone agree/disagree?
