I genuinely saw that title and thought "These multi-blade razors are getting out of hand!"

Some would say the same about a 5 blade razor.

    • All the better ways to charge more for blades.

    The best a ma'am can get :p

No thanks. Gillette thinks I'm a rapist, Gillette can talk a long walk on a short peer

Politics aside, using disposable razors is the most uneconomical and wasteful way of shaving. Go get yourself a safety razor and save money

    • I save myself time. Tried all kinds but this works best for my face

      • I would rather use a rusty butter knife then spend a cent on a Gillette product.

        • Man, the real maverick moved on from goose's death quicker than you're getting over being butthurt over a tv commercial that didn't even air here…

@SBOB: Because I have the right to choose the companies I deal with. Companies like Gillette will only learn if people do what they say they will, I will never buy another Gillette product. It's a good thing as well as it pushed me to look at alternative products that are a lot cheaper.

If they had never run their ad I would have continued to use their products without question.

              @Maverick-au: most certainly do

but the only way I could see someone getting offended by that commercial (and therefore being pushed to look for alternatives) is because they relate to (either explicitly or subconsciously) with the negative aspects of some mens behavior that it pointed out

but hey, the commercial was 2 months ago..
              enjoy your new razor brand

              • @SBOB: @SBOB it is just classic outrage marketing and you have been sucked in.

I choose not to be sucked in and choose not to use the brand.

                • @altitudinous: Wait ..it's outrage marketing, but I'm neither outraged or buying any more than I usually would (don't actually have any Gillette shaving products currently)

How am I the sucked in one?

Not sure you're understanding marketing 101 there..

            • @Maverick-au: Don't forget the other P&G brands while you're at it:
              https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Procter_%26_Gamble_bra…

              • @inasero: I'm yet to see him actively protest in a single Old Spice or fairy dishwashing tablet deal…
                Clearly not that committed ;)

                • @SBOB: Because Gillette is the one that started this. I won't buy the other brands from P&G with one exception OralB and I've said this since the start.

              • @inasero: I've blacklisted all P&G brands except for OralB.

                • @Maverick-au: I have been using Gillette brand since they released their 5 blade system many years ago. I don't watch TV, so don't care how they market their product. If you guys don't buy - it's great! More specials for me that buys the product that I need, and not because someone recommends or the opposite

                • @Maverick-au: Why not oral B?

                  • @inasero: Because it works well for my teeth and is the best toothbrush out there, I don't want to change and end up spending money at the dentist until there is a viable alternative.

                    • @Maverick-au: Phillips Sonicare is a viable alternative too

I think I'll go down that route after I finish off my current Oral-B refills from a previous Costco deal (that was before all the controversy blew up, so unfortunately I'm stuck with them for the time being)

                      • @inasero: I have a few years worth of OralB heads as well. Will look into the Philips again in the future.

    • The irony is that I have Gillette blades for my safety razor at the moment.

I don't find that safety razors shave closer, or cause less irritation, or any of the other things that people claimed, but they are cheaper and less wasteful.

you can get the same deal for $25 (plus one extra razor blade) from kogan . and yes free shipping by using the 'Free4u' code
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/gillette-fusion-razor-with-11-c…

    • not proglide but yes, seems like a good price too. Publish it - I could not find it

I don't buy this brand any more either. I did not have brand awareness of Gillette until their recent campaign as well, so they did shoot themselves in the foot!

  • I bought from chemist warehouse but they didn’t last longer. Its just like their perfumes. shield came off with couple of usage.

Suggest to check date if it mention somewhere or buy from elsewhere

Or do everyone a favour and buy another brand.

  • Any idea if these are in stores in Melbourne CBD?
