  Wouldn't it be great if something like this had the solar panel placed so as to absorb the light from the lamp itself. Then you never really would run out of light.

      Everything is silly until it is invented / realised.

      What about having a rim around the light source, like the old dolphin torches do, that has solar panels embedded. Surely there would be enough light on the panels to generate more power?

    Solar panel is a joke for sure.

    Hand cranking is kosher, though the crank doesn't look like it will take much abuse, and i'm generally abusive.
