I recommend to check them out in store or be very sure about the returns policy. When I compared the Ridge Ryder by Evakool with other boxes I found them flimsy with quite thin insulation. Claims on how long they can hold ice seem rather exaggerated.

  I have the bigger version of this that is something like 50 or 60 litres, i forgot the exact size. Its a pretty goof and solid buipd with nice thick walls. It also held ice for me for 5 days and i threw the ice out. It was a ice slurry when i threw it out.

I got the Dometic and ice rate would be 4-6 days depending on usage. I'm looking for a smaller one just to keep ice to swap with my large one and avoid trips to the gas station

  Just be aware that smaller ones often have thinner insulation. If you can squeeze an extra bag of ice into your big one that might last a lot longer.
