Anyone have one of these?
How do they work with your Air Conditioner? Is the controller programmed by the AC's remote to program it?

I have a few.
They are just a IR controller (like the original) that is controlled by your app over WiFi.
Very reliable through its app, the Google assistant integration is beyond crap.
I have one, during the setup process, you are required to point your AC remote and press a button so that the IR on the Sensibo can detect the correct instructions for your AC. Works great, except when you are with TPG where sometimes the connection drops out and you cant detect how cold/hot the room is!
It'll essentially learn your AC's remote's commands, to then just relay power on/off, temp up/down, direction/speed etc. Combined with a built-in temperature sensor, and using its app to let you control how you want it to work.
I have one, is a massive pile of crap. It can't stay connected to wifi, despite having 2m LOS to my access point. I was able to get longer than 1 hour connection by moving it to within 30cm of my AP. Their support wasn't helpful, they just kept asking me to reset and repair the device.

Save yourself the effort and just get an IR blaster like a Broadlink RM Pro, so that you can do a bunch of other IOT things with it, and it can be controlled by all the home automation platforms or its own app.
I have one. Works great - sensibo app is quite intuitive. Google assistant isn't bad - just say 'hey Google turn on the airconditioner'.
My only issue is that Google doesn't recognise 'aircon' as airconditioner.
Surely you could do this through something like ITTT?
Seems like mixed results.
Some ACs (usually ducted whole house systems) use RF remote control not IR, so make sure yours is IR.
Check out the Broadlink RM Pro it will do the same thing but also be able to do your TV, DVD, Stereo etc and is cheaper.
Just watch the video and read the overview. If that doesn't help. I found this on google.
