does this work on nextg and can you do tethering? What about the optimus gt540 mentioned above?
Yes this is nextg. no wifi tethering. Optimus is not nextg and locked to Optus.
Some of the PC to phone software Telstra provide does not work that well, for instance tethering on some Telstra ZTE handsets is meant to be possible though in actual fact doesn't work and is a gross waste of time troubleshooting. Spare yourself the hassle.
$99 all up, same as Optimus GT540, except you get $30 calls here, good for the casual user, both have the same cpu but if you're going to install a lot of apps the smaller screen res may be an issue
