KFC Secret Menu Items via KFC App - $6.95 Per Item [Nationwide]

3713

Not sure if this post is meant to be here or in the forums. (moderator: feel free to move the post where appropriate).

Saw an article on facebook about a "secret menu" on the KFC App with items for $6.95. Thought I'd try it and it worked :)

Only 3 items on the Secret Menu for now:

  1. Beese Churger. It's a Zinger fillet, cheese and mayo but with the bun flipped upside done for whatever reason.

  2. Zinger Chipster. Twister with chips and supercharged sauce in it.

  3. Slida Burger."low-carb" burger - zinger fillet, smoky bacon, lettuce, cheese and supercharged sauce between two flatbread buns (instead of the normal buns).

I ordered the Slide Burger through the KFC App and it worked (and it was tasty) :)

What you need to do:
- Go to the KFC App and select "Order"
- Once the KFC Menu appears, swipe and hold all the way down on the screen until you see a cartoon Colonel Sanders appears at the top.
- Keep holding onto the screen until the "Secret Menu" appears and it'll pop up in the menu.
- Then you can select the item from the secret menu :)

here's the article to it: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-6862825/The-…

    • Haha same! Scrolled down (up?) for literally minutes and nothing was happening. Then saw your post and tried the other direction and worked in seconds.

  • This isn't working on my phone Motorola g6 plus but is working on my friends iPhone se

    • see my comment above, I have the same phone as you

  • +1

They just mashing items together, running out of ideas huh

    • Literally what every fast-food "secret" menu item ever has been.

    • What did you expect on the secret menu, Coq au Vin?? 🤣

  • +2

So how many carbohydrates are in the Slida "low-carb" Burger?

    • -2

2569kj, not good value per kj.

  • +3

For those that unable to activate it, follow this steps
    1. Left thumb scroll from top to bottom on the left side of the screen, hold it there, you should see Mr Colonel
    2. Right thumb hold press and hold on the right bottom of the screen
    3. Release left thumb, if you did it right the menus should not pop back up, it should stay
    4. Repeat 1
    5. Release right thumb
    6. Repeat 2
    7. Repeat 4,5,6 if you still cannot see the menu

The idea is to scroll the page to the bottom, the right thumb is to hold the page and prevent it to spring back

Don't bother, just pull down on the menu until the upside down Colonel appears and hold it for 11 seconds. Done.

      • This ^^^

    Great marketing KFC.

  • +1

Ozbargainers will know.. Bundle it with a Free Chips and Drink voucher for a $6.95 meal.

  • +1

The haptic feedback on iPhones when pulling down the menu is so satisfying. Freaked me out at first.

    • The great thing is you need to go for a pull each time you open the app.

      • +4

        Most satisfying pull ever.

        • And no risk of 18 years house arrest if you don't pull it out!

  • +1

Oooo the secrets, i feel like im in the exclusive chickden club.

WHERE IS THE CHICKEN ? KFC SECRET MENUS DON'T HAVE CHICKEN IN IT ???!

  • This is legend, wait for it…

  • Can't get any it to work on a Xiaomi Mi5, won't transfer screen hold to second finger on the screen. Even just holding the menu down for 11 seconds doesn't seem to work, do you need to be signed in?

    • +2

When your finger reaches the bottom drag it diagonally upwards. The menu won't follow and you can drag down some more.

      • Tried again, had to repeat it a dozen times due to screen still moving most of the time but got there in the end, thank you!

  • Great… Now I’m going to have to buy bigger pants

  • +1

Don't bother takes 3 times as long for them to make the secret items and nobody knows what is in them. I got the slider and first one came with just lettuce, second was wrong sauce and no chese. I had to show them the item description to get it made with the correct items. 30min in store after ordering through the app.

  • Anyone know how many carbs are in that slida burger?

  • The beese churger is the same as getting a normal zinger burger and adding 2 slices of cheese…except you also get free lettuce and the buns are the right way around? Seems like it's not really special at all…

  • +3

I cannot believe you all are still complaining about couldn't get the secret menu to pop out from the app on your phone. This is just only the first hurdle to get through. Let me tell you my experience this afternoon when I tried to pick up my secret order at one of the KFC drive through.

I placed an app order which contains one of each of the 3 secret items plus some other items on the menu worth $65. Everything went smoothly until after waiting 15 mins at the queue. I arrived at the pick-up window, a girl poked her head out and said: "I am sorry, but we don't have the recipe for the burgers you ordered do you mind changing to other burgers?" I was totally shocked, the reason why I ordered KFC was just because of the secret menu so I could show-off to my family. I wasn't going to leave if I couldn't get my secret burgers. So I opened the app and show them the photo on the secret menu. The girl took my phone to the kitchen and I could see at least 6 KFC staff chatting and running around the kitchen trying to make the burgers just like the photo. It took them at least 10 mins before they gave me my order and cars from behind was horning left right and centre.

So I suggest you should ask your local KFC if they know anything about the secret menu first before ordering.

    • After trying all 3, which one is worth trying?

      • I went for the chipster wrap first. Will try the flatbread next and that'll be it for me.

        • How was the chipster?

          • +1

@barozgain: The chipster sounds like a good idea but it doesn't really work, the texture of the wrap doesn't go well with soft chips.

            • @ssquid: I agree. Had it for lunch today and it was below average

          • @barozgain: In theory…

If they used real lettuce instead of the shredded crap and used real shredded cheese it'd have a chance. Just completely underwhelming.

      • +2

Out of the 3, I'll recommend the Slida Burger first and then the Zinger Chipster. You don't many slida (flatbread buns) in the KFC menu and for the Zinger Chipster just the one bite you get to taste the zinger chicken and the chips.

The Beese Churger is a rip off. For the same price, I would rather order a Zinger Bacon and Cheese Burger. If you after the looks just flip the burger around and you'll get Beese Bacon Churger.

  • +1

    Slider is pretty good.
    Added $2 chips.
And 2x600ml Diet Coke from the servo for $6.30.

    True story.

  • +2

I just had a Slida Burger ordered via Drive Thru. It was pretty ordinary and small. It had a half of a slither of lettuce, single bacon was tiny, overcooked and rubbery.

I should have taken photos and sent it to their marketing team, but didn't think of it until I was 3/4 through it (wasn't hard, being basically just one of their regular chicken fillets).

It's likely just my local, thanks for the PSA OP, but I won't be getting it again.

  • +2

If I got one of these by mistake I'd just assume the new trainee made it wrong again ;-)

Reminds me of my first boss. Exploitative son of a **** who fancied himself an entrepreneur and ran a Pizza Haven - drove a mid range sports car and all. One of his big ideas was to sell all the food that would go off if not used at the end of the day to his staff as an over priced "volcano pizza". He just lumped all the leftovers on the pizza till it was piled high and charged 3 times as much as his most expensive menu pizza. I never bought one.

    • +1

Why did the staff buy it then. You didn't and the others didn't have to as well. I would have put it on the menu as mystery volcano pizza challenge and given it for free if the customers finish it. It was going to the bin anyways at the end of the night.

      • My friends did all sorts of crazy crap when we were young. Part of the joy of experimenting as a teen in the late 80s/early 90s. They did much more stuff than I did - joined Amway, Airforce Cadets, Duke of Edinborough and stuck with none of it. Only some of the staff were gullible and impressionable enough to buy the "volcano". I was a bit more skeptical and tended to do my own thing when they got caught up in a crazy scheme. I joined this one for 2 weeks because I wanted some cash and experience working. They lasted maybe 3 months. I quit after 2 weeks when I was spending money getting there and getting no deliveries (and there was no hourly rate, so I'd be losing money to hang around the foul smelling back of a pizza store, while the drivers with seniority got every delivery. Stuff that. I'm not a mug. I managed to pay off the uniform we had to buy, and I was out of there.).

Yes, most people would give away what would go to waste. Not this guy though. I was only there 2 weeks and I have some stories of the goings on in the back of that restaurant that are quite juicy. I was 17 at the time and I stayed right out of the shenanigans.

Seems like they're all a massive rip

  • Type in ID DQD and you get unlimited nuggets

  • Great marketing trick BTW

    Not a deal.

    • +1

Why not? I got the chipster which is a Zinger Fillet, Lettuce, Cheese, Chips and Supercharged Sauce in a warm tortilla. Plus I also got the free chips and drink. All that for $6.95 and it was pretty decent too.

Where can you find a similar deal for cheaper?

      • can get QP/ Big mac/ Mcchicken + 3 nuggets + spicy mayo sauce all for a total of $2 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/449247 …. That's what I call CHEAP!

      • Its just a new product. If this was an existing product then a way to get that product cheaper, on sale, whatever then sure that's a deal. This though is just discussing a new released product, there's no base on which to say it's a bargain yet.

It should be in forums discussing "hey here's this new product how cool is it?".

        • +1

This is what people who don't know about this deal are getting for $6.95:

          • 2 X Original Tenders
          • fresh salad topped
          • Pepper Mayo

          This is what I got:

          • 1 x Zinger Fillet , sliced in halves
          • Lettuce
          • Supercharge sauce
          • Cheese
          • Chips

The zinger fillet is way nicer than the tenders. Supercharge sauce is way nicer than the pepper mayo.
          Free cheese and free chips.

The chips are equivalent to a small size chips. I saw them measuring it.

How is that not a bargain?

You guys are all missing the point. This site you are on right now is called OzBargain and not OzCheap!

  • Ordered a zinger chipstet and got a wrap with no chips in it. Idiots

  • Scrolling through ozb kfc today, looking to have some kfc. I'm not a kfc regular at all.

Extremely poor value for this secret menu.
I've been ripped off and not got any value, let alone a bargain, for spending 13.90.

Chips popcorn chicken and sauce for 4.95 was tasty not nearly big enough to be value (give that a 5/10), but the incredible 8.95 for the nug a lot (which I reckon was about the volume of a quarter pounder at the absolute most) is a serious rip off and no value ( give that 3/10). Nothing exciting tastewise to boot.

    Really poor
