Hi,
Going to get my car tinted soon. Just looking for some guidance as I'm an absolute novice. Anything I should be aware of to get or avoid. It seems around $300 - $400 is the norm for my car (2015 Camry).
Any advice is appreciated.
Cheers

Yeah mine was around $200 as well, and that was regular price only without any Groupon
Pays to shop around
Thanks for the info!
were are you located? turbo tint north of melbourne does a great job and reasonable
Geelong so north of Melbourne isn't out of the question.
Depends on how fussy and detail oriented you are. A lot of places, mostly at the lower end of the price scale, don't tint all the way to the edge of the glass or down under the rubbers. This not only doesn't look great but over time can catch and lift. Quality of the tine varies as well with better ones able to block more heat than cheaper ones at the same apparent darkness.
You should be able to find places that'll do a standard 4 door sedan for $200 but a top end job using the best tint, cut all the way to the glass edge and door cards off to get under the seals will cost closer to $500. At a distance you probably won't tell the difference but look at them up close side by side and it's easy to see where the extra money goes.
Got mine done for $320 with a ceramic tint. Carbon would have costed me $240. Just make sure the place you get it from has a lifetime warranty and you should be good.
where was this ?
Tint Connection in Clayton
Thanks for the new posts, everyone!
Sorry to piggyback on your post, but does anyone know if Tint-A-Car is a good place to go for tinting and paint protection, or does it vary depending on which store you visit?
Don’t be sorry at all! I have been emailing with them. They seem to be at the higher end of the pricing from what I have seen and there is a $100 premium to have it done in Geelong over Melbourne with them which i a bit crap…
Get the windscreen tinted too 75% best thing I did now all my cars have it
Don't do this - in the event of an accident where you're not at fault, the insurance company may use this to deny a claim
you meant front windscreen?
