Best Bluetooth Headphones and Earphones

Hey my fellow bargainers,

I realise this isn't a unique topic, but I feel I have a somewhat unusual situation.

I'm looking at upgrading my audio situation. Wondering if I could get some advice on the best wireless bluetooth headphones AND earphones.

  • Headphones: Generally be used for late night TV sport viewing while my partner is happily sleeping next to me. Also music.

  • Earphones: To use while exercising (running/weights), 2 or 3 times a week, pairing with my Samsung device. Currently use wired, feel the need to upgrade.

I'm looking to spend $200-$300 total between both. Is this feasible? Should I skimp on one to get a decent pair in the other? Or spend a bit more to get set for both. Or, do I spend up big on earphones, which could do a job of the headphones. Will the quality and comfort be good enough?

I'm looking for some thoughts of those who are more in the know. Thanks!

I've got the Bose QC35's and the Sony whxwhatever 3 and prefer the sony's for sound quality. The noise cancellation is about the same for both IMO.

Dont think you will get a good pair for between 200-300. Maybe 200-300 EACH.

Cant help you with headphones, but these are the best ear phones ive used in my life : https://www.jabra.com.au/bluetooth-headsets/jabra-elite-acti… (Jabra Elite Active 65t)

  • I consider myself quite picky, i picked up some galaxy buds for $130 and absolutely love them. glad i didn't go down the the cheaper true wireless route that i was tempted too.

    • you got the good ones? I think there pathetic the galaxy buds, returning mine to Samsung now

Earphones wise, I have the Jaybird X3 & the freedoms, I use the freedoms in bed to watch tv as well as our house has thin walls & they have quite a low in ear profile for if ever want to lay with your ear down.

I would recommend both of them, although I'd say the sound quality is slightly better on the X3 (now replaced by the X4) as they are bit larger. Both are reasonably priced at between $100-200.

The title is misleading given the price constraints.

For the gym I would look for something fairly water resistant and with blockout capability to stop background noise. I don’t think you need high quality sound. The other thing is to watch Bluetooth dropout glitches. I got some soundpeats Q34s for $28 and they are pretty good sound wise but they do glitch occasionally. It depends if that would annoy you.

  • For music and YouTube I can vouch for these

Probably the best value over ear Bluetooth headphones I have ever seen.

Got them for about ~$60 AUD
