In addition to the 50% off the regular prices in the weekly specials, saw these LEDs on clearance which may be of interest / use to some. The price doesn't match that advertised on their website so this may be local only to the Loganholme QLD store
- Phillips LED Globe Dimmable BC / ES Soft White was $12, now $6
- Phillips LED Globe Scene Switch, BC / ES, was $17.50, now $7.00
- Phillips LED Globe Scene Switch Dimmable, was $17, now $6.80
- Phillips LED 2000Lmn Cool White ES, was $24.50, now $9.80
I'm not dissing the bargain but… These are probably older models of these LED globes. They will still save a lot of energy over incandescent or CFL.
The newest LED globes from the major manufacturers are almost all better that 100 lumens per watt (and these are 90+).
For high usage lights (hours per day x days per week) it might be worth doing the maths on cost, efficiency, cost of electricity if you want to shave the last few cents.
In other words it might be worth paying a bit more for a more efficient LED globe.
