Already use one, though I paid the $90 first time round.

This doesn't magically reduce force on your feet tho. Gravity is still there.

Hopefully these are well made (saw an Amazon sell for similar item - a lot of complaints about crumbling/falling apart so can be "oils ain't oils Sol".

I can't stand all day, so can I position the chair on top of the mat to seat, and push the chair aside to stand on the mat?
It's not a good idea to have a chair on the mat as it would wear away quite quickly, but the undersurface of the mat is smooth so it can be pushed away or pulled close with your foot.

Sorry you missed out on the deal, but I assure you that was not the reason for taking the sale down so early.
We had allocated 50 mats for the sale as we were overstocked. The deal was much more popular than expected, the original 50 sold out within the hour (previous deals we have offered on Ozbargain have had a much slower takeup). We ended up selling over 200, which has actually required us to order more stock in to fill the orders.
We will have this deal again at some point in the future, and will also be looking at a deal on desks some time later this week if you change your mind.

Bunnings sell mats like these. I have one under my desk to slightly raise my legs and it works great. Doesn't make my feet too hot like cusions do.

Actually do people think this is useful if I already have carpeted floor?
Depends on the softness of the carpet. We all use them in the office here on top of carpet, but its the hard commercial grade type. The benefits may be limited if you have very thick or shagpile style carpet.
