  • Great deal, unfortunately, doesn't have small sizes.

  • Ugh this is tempting but I've had my fair share of shoes bought online that simply don't fit. Anyone have an opinion on the soft leather Docs?

Similar ones for around $20 at Big W

Docs are shit and their "lifetime warranty" is shit.

Save your coin and get some RM's, you will go through 5 pairs of these pieces of shit before coming close to wearing out RM's.

    • +2

not even close to being the same type of boot

      • -2

Well if you want to look nice but have something shit that blows out and loses all of its grip within 6 months then buy shit.

        • well i mean i have both, and it depends on how you wear them; the RM's are at a much higher price point so you would expect them to last longer. Although at this price you would be better off buying 5 pairs rather then 1 pair of RM's

    • Does buying the British made ones make any difference?

the leather is better, the soles still suck though.

I have a pair of the China made brought for $40 on sale but never work them but I can tell they are crap. A couple of decades ago I had some UK docs which lasted for 10 years. Not sure if the some workmanship is in the current British made models. They never actually work out really.

    • +2

They no longer offer lifetime warranties.

Also I think you need a Snickers or something man…

note: these are carpathian, its a weird cracked/tubmled leather. they were for sale at the dr martens store for $129 recently.

  • Not worth it for this shoe. Absolutely terrible quality.

where in Oz you'd wear them, unless these are considered as PPE? I mean it is not the cold here.

    Am I bovvered?

Not worth it.. These are made in the Chinese factory….
It'd be worth it if they were the ones made in England.

Ignore the haters, these are great boots. I wear them daily, and I am pretty heavy on shoes - they're comfortable, give great support, and don't make your feet ache after a day's work. The cheaper ones (made in Thailand and China - probably these, and both my pairs) are said to be less hard wearing than the UK made sets, and are significantly cheaper. I had a pair in the 90s which lasted probably 6-7 years of daily wear - which you may still get out of a UK set, but unlikely out of these, but they are still a lovely boot.

  • Downes Shoes have some good specials on Doc Martens - odd sizes for some, and the website is atrocious, but have a trawl.
