Looking for a wok, something that'll last a fair few years at the least. I'm aware none stick ones aren't all that good, as had one previously. So what do I buy and how do I get it to stay none stick?
Where can I get a great wok?

You don’t use non stick woks because you, generally, use high heat for woks and most non stick surfaces have an upper limit. Mine is just from an Asian cookery place. You do need to season it with oil, and high heat. Mine has lasted for years but i seasoned it and make sure I dry it properly after use. I usually wipe it with oil and dry it over the burner.

These are the real deal carbon steel ones. You need to season them properly before first use. Google if unsure - basically heat up, oil, cool down, heat up etc. Cant remember the exact procedure.
The description for the product includes the seasoning procedure.
Asian store. Don't bother with all the ones from retailers with all the fancy schmancy coatings that you can't even use a proper turner on. Mum had hers for over 30 years and she has never seasoned it either
Would a seasoned cast iron fry pan do?
The curved shape helps with stir frying the food. I would say no.
cheers
Solidteknics, half the weight of cast iron and meant to last forever
Thanks for all the advice.
Asian grocery stores should have some for a good price. Get a carbon steel wok and season it to minimise food sticking.
