What is the best sort of case and screen protector for a Samsung Galaxy S9? Preferably with a kickstand and wrist strap but not one of those cases that wraps around the whole phone and affects loud speaker etc.
Anyone know what sort of case & screen protector gives the best protection? Where is the best place to look to buy one for the best price?

Screen protector: whitestone dome glass. However, many ozbargainers will find this too expensive.
That was the reason I hesitated from recommending it but it has been the best glass screen protector I have used by far. I had a InvisibleShield from ZAGG and was very disappointed as it greatly reduced touch sensitivity to the point I thought the phone was defective. The Whitestone Dome cost me ~$70 but has been perfect on an S8, S8+ and S9 for myself and family members. I will be upgrading to an S10 later this year and will be stocking up before I even get the phone.
It does take time to apply (~20 minutes, more if you plan to use a case with the phone as you want the adhesive to be very securely set before putting the phone in a case), but screen sensitivity is perfect, it is very clear (others have commented that they didn't even know a screen protector was installed).
i originally bought the zagg aswell and hated the black borders around the edges. The adhesive also didnt bond correctly to the curved edges resulting in lifting and bubbles. Luckily, zagg were good on the warranty when i sent it back to the US for a refund.

Yeah i don't use whitestone because of the cost and i don't believe glass prevents your screen from cracking.
I use a Spigen neo flex screen protector. Really happy with it. No lifting on the curved edges.dropped my Note 9 onto bitumen, the whitestone glass broke but it did protect the phone's actual screen
cheap ebay $10 screen protectors crack even through normal use. Small chips along the edges expand into cracks along the entire screen. My wife is on her 3rd cheap screen protector now on the iphone xs max. Could have bought the whitestone for $50 and be done with it.
I have gone through 3x Whitestones with my S9+ they are the weakest/easiest to break screen protectors I have ever had. Never broken a screen protector in my life until Whitestone. I won't be buying another one
