Wow this is the cheapest it has been for quite some time

    • +1

Planning to buy this. Good quality sound? Can anyone share personal experience? Thanks

      • +1

I bought this for a while now when cheapest was $140 :(.
The bass is a bit soft but beautiful sound and clear. Love it when listening to relax music. I really happy with this set. It is my experience though.
It was voted top 10 best pc speaker of the year.
More reviews on goggle. Should grab one before running out. :)

I have a pair hooked up to my TV, they sound excellent. The bass is amazing. For this price you cannot beat the sound quality. They also look nice enough not to stand out in my lounge room. I keep hearing people talk about audiophile quality, you can't get true audiophile for less than 1K$ (that's just amp/speakers), so why even bring it up? Anyways, yes buy it, I'm tempted to buy another set just because they are so good for the money

I have had these speakers for my comp for a few years and love em! I tried to connect to my tv and had issues, since i needed a special adaptor, and when connected, audio was distorted - what connection has worked best for you for the tv? cheers

          • +1

@Yamun121: what special adaptor? cant u just u a AUX cable?

          • @Yamun121: You might be overloading the input to the speakers, try turning down your output from the TV and turning up the volume on the speakers. No adaptor needed, just straight into the TV. I have my speakers turned up about half, and then I use my remote to control the volume on the TV, I rarely go past 15, the neighbours can hear it well enough by then lol

            • @addison666: Tv doesn’t have a 3.5mm output jack…only digital output these days

              • +1

@donamique: Okay mine does I bought it 6 months ago. They still analogue RCA outputs though surely?

                • @addison666: Unfortunately only HDMI arc or Optical…lol time to buy a cable…should I get a HDMI to 3.5mm or HDMI to RCA?

                  • @donamique: HDMI to 3.5mm I'd say, the speakers come with 3.5mm by default.

                    • @addison666: Couldn’t find those…might have to be HDMI to rca seems like the adapter needs a separate power supply geez…

                      • +1

@donamique: What about this ? (edited the first post, am still half asleep lol) https://www.mwave.com.au/product/simplecom-cm423-hdmi-audio-…

                        • @addison666: Thanks but thought your first link might have been better the second one needs power source. What was wrong with the first?

                          • +1

@donamique: The first one was an adaptor, not a splitter, you would have to watch the video using VGA, whereas the second one splits the audio/video, so that the video can still be passed through the HDMI but the audio comes out the 3.5mm jack

                            • @addison666: Thanks mate. Aren't I watching the video on my TV screen? Lol don't need a video output?

Sound quality is ok, a bit muddy but not too bad considering the price. Extreme bass is why you’d want them and THX certified if it matters.

Heavy bass for bass heavy music (hello metalcore!)

      • I've had 2 of these (different computers in the house). They are good value for the money. However, don't go expecting amazing sound from these.

They are bass very heavy (I don't agree that the bass is soft at all), and you get plenty of volume for the price. They are miles better than conventional cheapie desktop (small hand sized speakers) which is why people get excited when they are on sale. For less than $150, I would say they are excellent bang for the buck. However, if you are looking for clean, clear sound, these are not going to cut it. There's nothing "wrong" with them, I just want to ensure your expectations are reasonable.

        I've linked a review below:
        http://noaudiophile.com/Logitech_z623/

I've since upgraded, and can't bear to listen to these anymore. They are gathering dust in my study. They were good for a while (a good couple of years), but then I wanted "more"…My upgrade ended up costing around $600 though, and to me the upgrade was very much worth it. However, not everyone is going to want to spring for that much. I guess, what I am saying is that you get what you pay for.

Sound/Music - is like many hobbies in life. You can spend as much as you want on it! Be careful if you go down the rabbit hole!

How much for your old ones that you no longer use?

        • +1

Yeah, let us know if you want to sell them, if thirdeyechai passes.
          I have a coupon code: kinjirubargain25off :)

          • @RohBoat: Hahahah! I'm keeping them until the kids grow a bit older and will give it to them to use.

Appreciate the offer fellas - I should have expected that from the ozbargain community! :)

      • I've got mine hooked up to a TV in the lounge room. Sound is crisp and clear for watching TV. Bass is good for when listening to music too. Great value compared to a sound bar.

  • Thanks a lot.

bought these yesterday for the missus to run off her tv via headphone jack, since i found an option in the tv settings to set the audio output to variable, therefore being able to control sound via tv remote. Sound is crisp and clear, and bass is absolutely overkill haha. Recommend these speakers

    • Nice - what TV brand allows the audio output to variable?

      • Hisense 58K322UW 58"

      • Every TV I have owned with a headphone output will allow you to control the volume with the remote.

  • Pulled the trigger this time.. Thanks for the reviews

  • It's almost worth buying a second set.. Now to look around the house and find a use!

    • Just join them together with splitters

  • I have 2 of these and connected to Alexa

if only we had bing lee in melbourne ….

    • It is only $4.15 more to collect at Officeworks though. I wonder if they’d price match Bing Lee and beat it by 5%.

      • not on an ebay deal ……officeworks don’t price match ebay, they’d do bing lee shop front price match.

    No optical - pass.

  • How do these compare to the Creative T15 Wireless Bluetooth Channel Speaker 2.0 System. Are they better?

    • These are 2.1 speakers, so if you like/prefer more bass, go with the Logitech.

      • ………whats 2.1?

        • The speakers in this deal.

        • The 0.1 indicates the woofer. 2 is the left and right speakers

  • Pity nowhere in brisbane to pickup

  • These are possible the best 2.1 speakers for the price. I have them attached to my TV and I do not miss a sounder one bit. Brilliant.

  • -1

No remote sucks also there realy old n ugly.

    • Yes, but the price is good and the sound is decent for that money

  • Great speakers and great price, I loved mine until they died, and that was definitely my fault and not theirs. 100% recommend @ this price.

  • bad boys got some ooomph

  • Can anyone recommend a decent two speaker setup (without a sub) around the $50 mark? Need something for the parent's computer.

    • Anything by Logitech is good

  • Got it

  • Decent speaker, however there is some static noise when it's turned up high or low.

  • wow i do not need these at all but im so tempted at this price. had a set for 7 years before i sold them, great set

  • I'm looking to use these in a bedroom TV set up as my in-built speakers suck. I've heard reports that the bass can obscure the dialogue when watching TV. Can anyone confirm on deny this?

    • +2

Deny. Used them for 7 years or so as Movie and music speakers. Just turn down the sub if need be. I had mine on less than half most of the time.

  • Used these for a long time on my PC until I upgraded to an amp/speaker set up.

    Very good for the price.

  • +2

I have been running these for a couple of years and highly recommend for the price. Disagree with the comments that the bass is soft I have them at a quarter and it's enough, and any higher gets the missus wound up.
