Cicadas chirping is peaceful??
Grew up falling asleep to sound of Cicadas in summer, & waves by the old family beach shack. Both peaceful for me.
Was in Japan for my first exploration in Summer 2007 - a peak year for their Cicada cycle. Could locate city parks from the loud sound. Felt like home.
Grew up hating the sounds of cicadas and crickets at night. Would often focus on them for way too long instead of falling asleep. Each to their own I guess. :)
