Lol good point
In it's 2018 report about what a disaster the privatised electricity system is the ACCC claimed that comparison websites are merely fronts for commercial operations where the user is simply shown the options that create the most money for the operator of the website.
It did not single out any websites on .gov domains for not being this.
The Government set up the privatised system to rip you off and fools continue voting Liberal and Labor even as they lose massive amounts of their own wealth.
Even when The Greens are claiming that they will dismantle the scheme to rip them off Australian's continue to vote for the economic disaster that is electricity privatisation because even losing their own money isn't enough for these fools to change their vote.
Even when The Greens are claiming that they will dismantle the scheme to rip them off Australian's continue to vote for
perhaps because people don't vote on a single election issue… that would seem rather short sighted.
Plus pretty sure you're privatisation/price increase correlation has been shot down previously as being the/the only factor

Found a deal with 20c solar feed in tariff with no electricity discounts. Works well for me.
It showed me a few offers that were between $5-33 cheaper than my current plan, which is not a reliable saving and probably will take a 1c increase to wipe out the savings
It's a govt fail for me. Clearly not taking into account pay on time discount from my current provider.
Should have added "NSW ONLY".
Site, if truly independent, is a good idea, thanks OP.
Added
independent
Huh… no such thing
Ya cynic LOL
What if you are with Powershop like me, no "e-Bill" to download anywhere. I know I can figure it out manually but this service requires the e-bill…
doesnt work for gas though, which seems like something they could have done at the same time
