I've been keeping an eye on these, and noticed Dick Smiths 48hrs free shipping coupon code this morning. I tested it, and confirmed it works.

Thanks for the post OP. I've been eyeing them off on Kogan's website for a while at the same price, waiting for free ship; but now with delivery covered on dick smith, that was enough for me to pull the trigger. Cheers. FWIW, I've had a pair of Edifier E25HD Luna for years and they've been very good considering the size.
I Currently have the Logitech Z623 i know logitech aren't known for their amazing sound but would these be considered an Upgrade?
More like a side-grade. You will probably be sacrificing bass extension and punch for clearer mids and highs.
Disclaimer: I have never owned or heard the R1700BT’s.
I expect instruments to sound more realistic through proper speaker design.
And if you put them wide apart they will seem to sound larger & the sound they produce can probably fill a room better.
Thanks OP! Very good price indeed! I have an Edifier S1000DB connected to my tele in the living room, and it sounds amazing! I was after another a pair for my home-office.
For the past 2 weeks I've been reading and watching reviews to ensure I pick the right set. I was in between the R1700BT and the R1850DB. You can find a the comparison here: https://youtu.be/QVJqHX7pHBg (Digital Stereophomy has great "battles" between speakers).
I picked the R1850DB earlier today due to extra connections including optical & sub-out. Currently Amazon AU (through a third-party seller) has the R1850DB for $219 (free shipping via prime). Its RRP is $269, I believe $219 is a good deal.

Does the Bluetooth button on either the remote or main units toggle Bluetooth on or off, or is it used only for pairing? I bought and returned some Logitech mX Sound speakers because the BT button only was for pairing. I would love the ability to use the speakers with my PC, but occasionally connect my phone to the speakers.
Main unit can turn Bluetooth off.
Ordered one. Good find. Cannot wait to put them on my desk.
Thanks OP, I ended up purchasing the bigger brother R2000DB's which were also on sale. Bit of an upgrade from my Logitech X-530 5.1 Speaker System I've had since I was a teenager!
Sold out.

You can get these Cambridge Audio Minx XL’s right now at a cheaper price than the SX50’s.
Only in white colour though.
If you are wondering the difference between SX50’s and Minx XL’s (they do seem to be built identical).
“The Cambridge Audio Minx xl speakers are much, much more neutral compared to the sx50's. The sx50's are somewhat bass heavy and fuzzy sounding in the highs compared to the Minx xl speakers. Even though they share the same speaker componants and cabinet size, the Minx xl's are a major upgrade in sound while still being musical. I believe the Minx xl's have a massively upgraded crossover, and Cambridge have spent the time to make a much better speaker. Make sure you let the Minx xls break in for at least 50 hours before you judge them. While both speakers are somewhat polite and easy to listen to, the Minx are much better. System matching is always critical, as well as room acoustics, so you need to spend time on placement and system matching to get the best out of any speakers.”
