I'd like to jump on the Telstra plan of $23 per month for the Samsung gear watch 46mm however I feel like the $5 per month for one number function is ludicrous when I'm already on quite an expensive plan.
Has anyone successfully had the $5 waived or am I dreaming?

Have you already got a good deal on your current plan? I was more referring to them perhaps using it as a package deal. But since you've already got your current plan, you can't really use that to negotiate.

I got the one number subscription, and just cancelled it, I never found me in a instance where I needed it, I always have my phone on me etc. so the bluetooth connection is fine to the phone. It might benefit some people. But I have never been in a situation since ive cancelled it and needed it.
It is just a way for the company to get more money, at the present moment, I reckon its a gimmick….
$5/month isn't a lot and it probably costs them nothing… I wouldn't be surprised if it was designed to be given away as an incentive in the sale of a bigger package!
