awesome. bought a phone off them a few weeks ago. and was just thinking about buying another one off them just now.

    • were you asked to pay GST?

I bought a Nokia 8 from them about a month ago from a deal posted here. Was at my door after a week in nice packaging and everything was in order.

    • did you have to pay GST?

    • I ordered saturday no tracking as yet, I think verification issue last time.

  • They are the most unreliable seller. They make you wait and cancel the order and said they are out of stock. Why would they take your money for so long and then stuff people around? If they don't have stock they shouldn't take the money. Beware of their dodgy practises.

    Here's my experience:

TL;DR? had to get PayPal refund.

    27 Aug - purchased Mi 9T Global
    3 Sep - arrives
5 Sep - reverts to bootloader, factory reset fixes it for about 2-3 hours. RMA raised. $50 pickup fee, $20 return fee if device found to be ok
6 Sep - DHL picks up
    10 Sep - return arrives
11 Sep - "device normal" - again I reference video of issue
17 Sep - "device normal" - this time with video of it working. I get quite firm that there is a problem - refund or replace
19 Sep - quote: "Your problem may probably a software issue which was resolved after our technician performed a reset on it. Please confirm the fees and we will arrange return of the item accordingly."
22 Sep - PayPal case raised. No response from TD after this date
4 Oct - refund issued by PayPal

  • i really dont get how tobydeals works they have 2 listings for the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro 8GB/256GB (blue model) one for $669 and another for $640, the $669 listing i can add the cart3 promo code to bring the price down but the $640 listing tells me code is invalid.

i sent them email about it waiting to hear back on the excuses they come up with about why the different prices on same exact model.

So ordered on 04/Aug and received on 19/Aug. Phone is great and is as described so far. I hope no problems arise given the numerous complaints about customer service and warranty. But holy crap for $311 this phone sure feels like a steal.

    • Woah! You are lucky to receive yours…

I'm also experiencing a problem with Toll's customer service front. The phone was ordered, packed and sent within 2 days on 18 Aug 2020. Unfortunately the problems started once it landed at Toll Port Melbourne. On 24 Aug 2020, it was stuck at 'Held up in customs, awaiting customs clearance' and then immediately to the 'Unable to deliver, Delivery not accepted – items missing from delivery' status and remained that way till now, 26 Aug 2020. All of a sudden status is now back in Hong Kong as 'Linehaul to destination depot: overnight, Location: Hong Kong', presumably back to Toll Port Melbourne. Sigh, anyways, hope you rightfully get your parcel sooner than never… I can only hope I get mine, soon-ish.

I called Toll support for an update, which appears to be located in the Philippines and the consultant didn't respond to me in a professional manner. She sounded aggravated. Anyways, she said the reason why it's showing 'Linehaul to destination depot: overnight, Location: Hong Kong' is because the parcel wasn't loaded on the original flight which doesn't make sense to me. If it wasn't on the flight, it would never have a chance to be scanned at Toll Port Melbourne on arrival. Hmmm. Something doesn't add up Toll…
