The Aldi generic energy drinks are the exact same thing as red bulls (made in Austria) and cost only 99c. They come in both sugar and sugar free varieties.

I've read the artificial sweeteners can be harmful but they aren't absorbed by the body so if you're okay with the taste why not.
The original, well sugar isn't that bad for you in moderation. I find it also helps to give you an energy boost.

Sugar, water, flavourings, a few chemicals. It's incredibly cheap to make even if they have to ship it from Austria. Wouldn't surprise me if it's shipped at less than 10c a can.
