So I went to Harvey Norman today and the sales person recommended me the following Dishwashers
AEG FFB72746PM
Miele G 4203 SC ACTIVE
I asked about the Bosch but they said they were not that great compared to the other two, looked at the
Bosch SMS66MI03A as they do not sell the Bosch SMS66MI02A
Im guessing the Bosch SMS66MI03A is only slightly different to the Bosch SMS66MI02A which was on sale a few days back but now back to original price.
The AEG comes with a 5 year warranty and the Miele & Bosch both come with 2.
The AEG was on sale @ Harvey Norman for $1299 down from $1599
The Miele has 10% off their range which brought it down to $1349.10 down from $1499.00
The Bosch was $1199 and the Bosch SMS66MI02A is $1059.00 both not on sale currently
The AEG has a feature where the door opened on its own after it had finished washing but the door itself was not as solid compared to the other two models
The Miele has the least amount of features but I tend to only use 1 or 2 features when I had my old dishwasher - Auto Mode and the hottest mode for saucepans and pots, things that needed a heavy clean
Thoughts anyone?
If you like the Bosch and the price fits your budget then just go for it.
This is the reason I will never buy anything for HN. The last time we went to buy a washing machine and a dryer they tried the same tactic on us. After extensive research my mind was set on a German made Bosch washing machine and their top of the line heat pump dryer but the HN salesman had nothing good to say about those. He was bold enough to claim that neither of the Bosch appliances would not last beyond two years and he tried his best to make us buy an AEG or Miele but we just walked away and got them from Appliances Online (at a very good price as they had a 20% or 15% off ebay sale then).
Just don't fall for this pathetic BS from HN. The sales guy gets the highest commission from selling fixed price items such as AEG and Miele and that is the only reason for pushing hard to sell a unit from these brands. I can't believe that they are still trying this on unsuspecting buyers as he only had his interest in mind not yours. Don't get me wrong, AEG and Miele both make solid, reliable and well received appliances but none of those qualities do matter in your case, only the highest commission.
Bosch dish washers are pretty good. They come from multiple factories which are made for different budgets and global markets. Just do your research and buy it from a retailer who would offer you the best price. I too own a Bosch dish washer and it hasn't missed a beat for the last 4 years. Also check for cashback offers direct from Bosch.
