Misus just showed this to me.

The brand prides itself on being 100% toxin free, so it's not as damaging to the environment..
The proprietor shows up herself at baby/toddler expos (met her last year). Australian family owned and all that jazz.

    • $35 shipping to Perth :(

  • The brand prides itself on being 100% toxin free, so it's not as damaging to the environment..

I'm sure you're baby will not appreciate that as the end of the world occurs due to climate change. He/she is probably going to be thinking what short shorted morons our generations were.

    • Yes, as far as disposable goes. But, bamboo fabric is an environmental disaster too. It sounds good if you choose to listen only to the marketing of business, but the chemicals used to manufacture bamboo material are toxic and there's no way of getting rid of that stuff without harm to the environment https://goodonyou.eco/bamboo-fabric-sustainable/ and a general search: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=bamboo+fabric+chemical+intensive&t…

      • forest friendly wood pulp inner and sustainably grown, soft bamboo bio-fabric means our nappies break down in 10% of the time of regular petroleum-based plastic nappies.

So, 100 years to breakdown instead of a thousand?

        • You're comparing one bad thing with another bad thing. You'd have to weigh up the environmental cost of disposing of the chemicals (all toxic) used in the manufacture of bamboo material in your comparison with plastic. But really, why go there? There are much better alternatives than either of the two you have mentioned. And, like palm oil, rain forest is now being cleared for bamboo plantations.

  • Flannel nappies used to be cheap but I guess cotton’s a green disaster too.

  • Woolies nappies $10 for 80

    • I think they're a 50 pack for $10…around the same price for Aldi nappies. Haven't used the cheap Woolies ones but we do use the Aldi ones and they've been fine for our now 7 month old.

      • Depends on size different amounts.
