Was looking for a set of these speakers and found that they dropped in price.
I just bought a set with delivery for ~$151, cheaper than the deal posted last year.

Edit: Tried looking to see if free delivery by shipster was an option but doesn't seem so.

Dang, it looks like Kogan has been removed from shipster as of January. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/431383

$20.99 for delivery doesn't make it as good as it looks.

    • Mine was 11 delivery to Melbourne metro :(

  • Just refreshed the page… they updated the price to $149… :/

      Removed the expiry. Thank you

  • Do they make good PC speakers? Looking to get rid of cables!

    • I use them for my PC, they're decent. Just a cable for power, one to connect the speakers together and the obvious audio cable.

I suppose you could use Bluetooth to them the entire time too.

    • I bought some early ones they had here in Australia initially, quite good value for two tiny little speakers and a subwoofer in a tube, around $30 or so… Put Logitech to shame at the time imo.

    • I’ve been recommending Edifier (Chinese) but getting mixed up with Edirol (Roland).

      Whoops.

    • These are my daily at work. Great stereo imaging and works at treat with Spotify- Bluetooth is reliable too.

  • Can any comment on these vs bose companion 20.

  • I've had these speakers for a couple of years in our kitchen and they connect to bluetooth seamlessly and the quality of sound that comes out for under $200 must put these speakers at the top of the budget priced bluetooth stereo speakers.

  • hmmm dont like the way you cant directly compare specs with the other similar speakers.
apart from the old rrp are they any better than these others ?

You can't really compare retail specs. Unless someone had the time to measure them into frequency response graphs.
Here's a sound demo comparison to compare them by ear. Edifier R1280DB vs R1700BT
Also other videos by the same YouTuber comparing Edifier R1700BT to other speakers.

      • awesome :D thanks

  • how are these compared to the presonus eris 3.5's?
