Hi guys.
I've just purchased a Samsung 65" Q9FN.
The picture quality is superb when watching 4K videos off YouTube and Netflix.
However, it is quite a let down when watching things off Foxtel that are off the normal channels.
I don't remember the quality being this bad on my 55" Samsung that was 5 years old (paid $4k for it 5 years ago so it was top of the range).
I'm assuming this is simply because standard definition content just doesn't look good on a TV that big?
Is there a setting I may have missed?
I heard somewhere about HDR needs to be turned on or similar as it is off by default.
I don't really understand what this is- I found an option called HDR+ but it seems to just make the colours look a little worse.
The SD channels? How does SD FTA look?
Probably about normal too, given the difference in quality between SD and 4K.
