    Still not good deal.

    • so what are you comparing it with and where else is it cheaper?

  • guessing this is not the 2019 model

    • Its actually a refresh since the 8th gen Y processors came out late last year.

  • check out dell outlet first. they are as new, and carry same 1 year warranty.

    • any link? I was just on there

this exact model is not present there, but 9370 with i7 are featured prominently. also it looks like you broke it, since outlet doesn't open for me to find a link.

I sold an as new xps 15 2 in 1 for $1500, now that was a bargain for someone! and since I made a bit of money on it, too, I had even a better bargain.

xps for $1999 is hardly any bargain, it is normal price for it.

        • You are comparing refurb with brand new. I don't see it posted for same price anywhere. Also if I was buying a second hand I wouldn't be paying $1500 for it, so I don't think that was a bargain for the person who bought it. especially if you bought a refurb in the first place.

@Pricebeat: there is no difference, not with XPS. if you don't like something, you create a service call, and tomorrow there's a technician at your office, replacing parts you don't like.

I complained about tinny sound from my unit, they replaced speakers. I complained that one key on the keyboard was a tad softer than the others, they replaced the whole palmrest assembly, no questions asked.

were there any marks or any signs this is not new? nope. was it packed in retail box with all new accessories? yes. so what's the difference?

  • Great spec'ed laptop completely underwhelmed by such a small SSD.

    • Problem is that the bigger the SSD, bigger the price tag. Much cheaper to buy one with small SSD and upgrade with SSD deals. I always look for the ones iwth smaller ssd and cheaper price tag.

      • For 2k I'd want a 512gb one but that is just me. Given that you aren't even getting a gaming GPU with it either. Nice screen and CPU tho.

        • And its all about the screen, cpu (and ram if soldered).

Beastly GPU in a thin-form laptop still doesn't make sense. chunky gaming laptops and desktops run that show due to the thermals.

Upgrading SSD is almost always worthwhile where possible as thats how most OEM's price tier

  • Just a warning that this is the 5W 'Y' processor, not the 15W 'U'. It will be nearly as fast for basic tasks but will throttle hard when you start pushing it to the limits.

it's ok, xps 13 is really a toy or accessory rather than a work machine. it just needs to remain on for as long as possible, there are no uses for them apart from looking at photos or movies or mortgage documents, Y processor is sufficient for that.
