Bodum 2018 Colours French Press (8 Cup) $13.27, (3 Cup) $9.07 + $7.95 Delivery (Free Pickup/Instore) @ Myer

240

8 cup $13.27
3 cup $9.07 (in store only)

Myers already have these 2 french presses priced low and have a further markdown on them. David Jones has the 3 cup priced at $19.95 and the 8 cup at $29.95

Did a quick check and seems like they are in stock most major cities for click and collect.

When I bought mine in store (8 cup) the tag didn't show the sale on it but it rang up at $13.26 for a further $0.01 savings.

    • Good find. Will add to description.

    • Same brand? Link?

      • didnt neg you. but kmart have a website…

  • If I need to froth milk could I use a coffee plunger instead of an electric milk frother?

If yes would I need an 8 cup or a 3 cup?
    Thanks

    • Don’t think that would work man - my bad

    • This guy uses what looks like an 8 cup. Guess it depends how much you want to do. Would think the 3 cup would be fine for a small amount of milk.

      • That's why I want a 3 cup - to replace the smaller one I've been using as a frother for years.

    • If you want one that really works get one of these

    • I've been using a similar small one as a milk frother for years.

Watched a YouTube that convinced me - lots of vids available eg Make a Latte at Home.

Got a us$1 one with plastic handle - pop straight in microwave to warm milk quickly. Otherwise remove glass from handle to heat.

Had a new electric frother but liked the simplicity of these far better. Sold the electric one.

    • If you just want something to froth milk, you can get a handheld frother for a couple of dollars on eBay or $2.99 at Ikea. Put in a couple of rechargeable AAs and you're good to go. They work very well and you can froth the milk directly in the mug.

      • Thanks for the suggestion

I'm looking to move away from my electric frother and simplify things

However the one you suggested does not look very sturdy
Also it can only do a cup at a time a disadvantage when compared to the 3 or 8 cup

        • I was given one.
Found it slower than a French Press like this, needed to get a cup with a pouring lip to use it successfully (to add milk froth to coffee in a cup easily without spilling), only was ok with a small amount of milk so not suited to producing frothed milk for a few coffees.

I gave up & gave it away. Ever since have used one of these. Check the vids of how easy it is to froth milk & pour to produce professional looking coffee.

Bought a 3 cup one today to replace one used for years.

      • I’ve had a couple of these types and never got much froth out of them

  • Thanks OP, i bought one several weeks ago, in-store. Slightly higher price but below $10. Good find.

  • Thanks OP, bought one and a travel mug as well

    • I am total n00b and only started coffee a few months ago but have you tried different water temperatures and steeping times to see if the taste improves?
