Everything besides flights gives you poor value. You can probably get the most value by selling them here, list them for 1.3 cents per point and wait until you get a buyer.
How does the transfer work? Any risk?
Qantas points should only be transferred between family members. If they catch you selling i think they will cancel your points and perhaps membership

Roughly how many points do you have to spend?
So far I have been on the opinion that qff points are very hard to redeem and been avoiding them. But still qff cards seem to be very popular here on Ozb. Am I misinformed re redemption or how do You guys use them?
There's guides out there for the best use, seems like flights and upgrades are the best. Tempting to cash out for a gift card though but the return on points is horrible.
Definitely an element of risk but you'll get best value from selling in classifieds!

The RM Williams deal was great… if theres an item you want in the qantas store.. wait for it to go on points sale :)
