Thanks, I am particularly interested in others experience when roasting ?
I presently use a Weber family Q, (gas). I am looking for a bit more flavor??If I were you, I’d start by buying a cheap second hand Weber kettle off eBay, buy some charcoal and wood chunks, and look into the “snake method” learning how to cook on a charcoal grill will introduce you to bbq, then if you like it buy an expensive pellet grill.
You can also buy pellet tubes and use them in your Q
I’ve got one and they are good, especially the ones with the app control.
In saying that, it depends on the person and the level of interest in bbq.
I have several bbqs for different things. You’ll get a lot of different opinions on forums. Everyone’s different.
Wood burning grills always taste better than pellets or charcoal. But are harder to control. I’m happy with my pellet grill but only use it for certain recipes.
